I started out with a kilo or so of potatoes dug from a friend's garden (I should add, the friend dug them, not me), which is all lovely and frugal, in the spirit of self sufficiency, and so on.
I then went to Waitrose and spend £18.57 on:
1) Half a round of Reblochon (gooey smelly cheese)
2) 1 big old tub of creme fraiche
3) 2 packs of pancetta
4) 1 bottle of white wine
5) 3 sprigs of rosemary (my rosemary bush is still only three sprigs big, so wouldn't take the abuse)
6) A pack of tomatoes
7) 2 onions
And I created:
Hey, you can't be perfect all the time.

Yummy, gloopy, calorific and expensive tartiflette. But it tastes soooooo gooooooood.
