I nearly decided I was done on my sunshine quilt top yesterday. It is almost scraping double bed sized at 69" by 73" and is almost certainly an acceptable size for a handmade quilt.
But no, I have decided that having put all of this work in, this quilt may as well get lots of use, and the best way to ensure it gets used on our bed is to make sure it's double bed size. For the first time I am imposing a target on this quilt (until now, I always said I'd stop when I got bored). This sucker is going to make it to 80" by 88". If it manages an inch or two extra in either direction, that will also be lovely.
Please pretend that the missing chunk isn't missing - the relevant square is sewn, it just needs attaching, and given the speed of my handsewing now, that's only about an hour's work, maybe less.
Incidentally, I was reading up on SEO (seach engine optimisation) the other day, and how you should make your blog post titles relevant and keywordey. I think it's safe to say that no one is going to find my little blog based on my post titles.
Your hexies are just gorgeous! You're going to have a spectacular quilt. :)
