Great to hear that your venue is sorted,I found that family and friends were more than happy to help out when we married all those years ago,and it actually helped make them feel more included in the whole day, I had friends offer to make my cake, do my flowers . another made my dress, one did my hair and make up, A friend of husband chauferred us for the day and his gift was the hire of a car, and the list went on, we didn't even bother with a photographer! we had a wonderful day and family still talk about it to this day 27 years later!

That's the kind of wedding we want! lots of handmade goodness and family mucking in to make it a lovely day. I can't wait :)

I am just starting to think about how to plan my wedding too! Coincidentally there was a tense few seconds where I considered "rainbow" as a colour theme but I'm over that now. My latest thought was "I wonder if I can make paper from junk mail and use that to make invites...?" I haven't investigated that thought yet.
